Hassan Bouh

Hassan Bouh is a dynamic and passionate leader who excels in the field of business administration management. As the Executive Director of Caring Hands Initiative, he is dedicated to creating positive change in communities and empowering individuals through various programs and initiatives. Additionally, as the Chief Executive Officer of PeopleFirst HR Solutions and Consultancy, Hassan utilizes his expertise in human resources to help organizations optimize their HR strategies and cultivate positive work cultures. With a strong commitment to making a difference, Hassan's comprehensive knowledge and unwavering dedication drive him to create social impact and empower individuals and businesses alike.

Hawa Ali, known as Eve, is a dedicated real estate licensee at Tim Dunham Realty and co-Director of the Caring Hands Initiative. Her educational background includes a bachelor's degree in Human Language from the University of Djibouti, as well as a master's degree in Peace and International Relations from Nairobi, Kenya. Possessing fluency in French, Somali, English, and Arabic, Eve has the ability to connect with a diverse range of individuals. Upon her arrival in the United States, Eve immediately immersed herself in the Maine progressive process, actively participating in the shifting of power and democratic progress. She took on the role of a canvasser at a local nonprofit, knocking on doors in various counties across Maine. Through her dedication and efforts, she played a part in achieving a historic milestone - the election of the first female Governor in Maine. In addition to her work in real estate, Eve is passionate about making a positive impact in her community. As co-Director of the Caring Hands Initiative, she channels her energy and expertise to empower individuals and foster positive change. With her diverse background and language skills, Eve bridges cultural divides, promoting understanding and creating a more inclusive society.

Deka Adaweh

Finance Manager & Director of outreach

Deka Adaweh is an accomplished individual, holding an associate degree in general arts studies from Central Maine Community College while currently pursuing a Bachelor's in Mental Health and Human Services. With a strong background in Office Administration and Finances, Deka brings 10 years of valuable experience to the table. Currently working as a dedicated Direct Support Professional (DSP), she supports disabled clients with their various needs. Deka's goal is to leverage her expertise in planning, organizing, and controlling an organization's financial resources, ensuring its stability and growth. Her commitment to professional advancement and compassionate service drives her towards making a positive impact in the field of mental health and human services. 

 

Ifrah Assoweh

Ifrah is a passionate and dedicated TESOL-certified teacher at McMahon Elementary School in Lewiston, Maine. Holding a Master's Degree in Education, her focus on English language and literacy drives her to develop innovative lesson plans and create an inspiring classroom environment. Ifrah's goal is to empower students from diverse cultures to excel in their language proficiency. With a deep passion for language, literature, and culture, Ifrah is multilingual herself, which allows her to better understand the needs of her students. Her previous experience teaching at Lewiston Adult Ed has further strengthened her belief in creating language-rich classrooms and advocating for ESL students and their families. Ifrah's commitment to providing an inclusive and supportive learning environment for her students shines through her dedication and enthusiasm. Her expertise, passion, and advocacy make her an invaluable asset to the educational community.

With a background in housing assistance, he has worked as a housing specialist at Prosperity Maine, providing support to individuals and families in finding suitable housing and securing rent and electric funds. Ali's commitment to helping others and his expertise in community support make him a valuable asset. His love for serving people and making a positive impact drive his dedication to improving the lives of those in need.
